Our department invites expressions of interest for several new positions (two per year, for the next five years) in all areas of chemical engineering. The appointments will be at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level. Candidates are expected to hold a Ph.D. preferably in chemical engineering and should have demonstrated the potential to conduct a vigorous and significant research program as evidenced by their publication record and supporting letters from recognized leaders in the field. The ability to teach chemical engineering courses effectively at both the graduate and undergraduate levels is required. Promising candidates should be dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment, and should be committed to working well with others.
Our department is recognized for its vibrant research programs in most areas of chemical engineering science, including catalysis and reaction engineering, environment, biotechnology, energy, electrochemical processes, polymers, traditional and advanced materials, materials modelling, process modelling, thermodynamics, physical chemistry, and transport phenomena.
Applications are encouraged from researchers working in any of these areas plus new or emerging ones such as biomolecular, biomedical and biological engineering, electrochemical processes, nanotechnology, etc.
Candidates or people interested in these positions may send an email to the chairman of the Department, Prof. Alexandros Katsaounis with a copy of their current CV containing a list of publications, a statement of research interests, a statement of teaching interests, and the names of at least three references with complete address and contact information.
