Recent work on the phenomenon of electrochemical promotion of Catalysis (EPOC) or non-Faradaic Electrochemical Modification of Catalytic Activity (NEMCA effect), originally studied in our Department [1] , [2], [3], has been reviewed recently in several invited reviews discussing both recent state-of-the-art investigations [4] and the history of the discovery of the effect [5].
